Set Up iTunes

Step 1.  Download iTunes from this website:  http://www.apple.com/itunes/download  Click the "Free Download" link and follow the instructions provided on the screen.

Please note that the iTunes download includes the QuickTime player which may be used to view video podcasts. The iTunes download is quite large, so be sure to allow plenty of time for it to complete. Please note that this download is a one-time process. 

Step 2.  Install iTunes. Double-click the iTunes setup file that you downloaded or received on CD-ROM, and follow the installation prompts. Click here for Installation Help.

Step 3.  Click Open SCC on iTunes U to access our public podcasts, which provide information about SCC programs and activities.

Note:  Most podcast files are delivered in MP3 format.  While MP3 is a highly compressed audio file format, files may still be several megabytes in size. Students who have a high-speed Internet connection should experience no difficulty obtaining files of this size within a fairly short period of time; dial-up users will need to allow an extended period of time for the files to download. If you have a lower-speed Internet connection and/or you choose to receive video podcasts, you may wish to allow the files to download when you are away from your computer (e.g. overnight).
